The Dollys are a harmony centric trio hailing from Southland, New Zealand. Maia Fletcher, Tahla Ward and Millie Cottam shine individually but when their voices blend together something very special happens that draws listeners in from the very first note. Known for their rich vocals and heartfelt story telling, the young group blends traditional country roots with a fresh modern edge. Their signature sound is built on seamless three part harmonies that capture the hearts of audiences where ever they perform. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of classic country greats whilst adding their own youthful energy. The Dollys have quickly become crowd favourites performing tender ballads and lively toe tappers their music celebrates connection, authenticity and the joy of singing together. With a growing reputation for stand out performances.
Whilst attending the 2025 CMAA Senior Academy of Music they were honoured to sing for Kasey Chambers and as a result of the connections made were also invited to be special guests in Lyn Bowtell and Her Famous Friends concert, The Bush-Wackers Beach Party and Chardonnay Show at the Tamworth Country Musical Festival. They have also opened for Brother Hollow (Australia) and Katie Thomson (NZ) as well as NZ’s iconic country music singer songwriter Jenny Mitchell for concerts in both NZ and Australia.
Notable achievements include - Overall Intermediate Matamata Country Music Awards 2023 and 2024, Runner up Open Songwriter Matamata Country Music Awards 2024 and 2025, MLT Gold Guitar Open Group winner 2023, 2024 and 2025, MLT Intermediate Gold Guitar winner 2023, NZCMA Intermediate Entertainer of the Year 2023 and 2024 runner up, Country Music of Australia Talent Quest Overall winners 2024, Tamworth Country Music Festival Buskers Top 10 finalist and overall runner up 2024 and 2025, MLT Gold Guitar Open Band winners 2024 and runner up 2025. The Dollys have also performed at some of NZ’s largest country music festivals including the Tussock Country Music Festival, Bay of Islands Country Rock festival and are looking forward to performing at Raglans Country and Blues Festival in October.
The Dollys proudly released their first single Weathering the Storm in 2024, the songs speaks to the challenges faced in the music industry and how they overcome them by working together in harmony. They are excited to see the release of their next single Where Roots Run Deep later this year. The Dollys draw inspiration for their orignal music from life experience combined with the joy of being young and carefree.
